XXXTENTACTION & Lil Uzi Vert Drop New Song ‘I’m Not Human’

XXXTEN ACTION and Lil Uzi Vert have teamed up for a new track titled “I’m Not Human”, marking their first collaboration – check it out below.

Released on Monday (January 23) to celebrate what would have been X’s 25th birthday, the somber song finds the two artists taking a different tack, going for a ballad-inspired record that reflects on their sentimental emotions.

“Bury all your secrets in my skin/ Come away with innocence/ And leave me with my sins/ Air around me feels like a cage/ Love is just a camouflage for what looks like rage.” XXX sings.

Uzi comes in with his verse towards the end of the song, singing: “Lie down when you go to sleep/ And wipe your eyes every time you cry, oh/ Tell you life ain’t so deep/ Paint pictures that I’m a freak but I’m not human.”

“I’m Not Human” was announced on XXXTENTACION’s official Instagram page shortly before its release. “A gift from Jah,” read the caption. “Thank you #liluzi.”

The song is the first joint effort between the two, but it’s unclear if Lil Uzi Vert recorded his feature on “I’m Not Human” before XXX was shot and killed in June 2018.

Last November, Baby Pluto explained why he had not yet worked on the late “Look At Me!” rapper during an appearance on Adin Ross’ live stream.

“I really like him,” he said. “He called me once when he was in jail a long time ago. I was going on stage, I was on tour with The Weeknd and he actually rapped a song for me that he never laid and it was actually really good.

“I would love to do a song with him, but I’m really weird about something like that. Don’t get me wrong, it took me a really long time to do it with another artist. I’m really weird because I understand that they don’t live here, and what if that’s not the vision they really want? Especially if they really fucked me.”

He added: “What if it’s all wrong? I’d be mad if they did it all wrong and I’m not here. But you know, if it works, it works.”

Drake’s alleged beef with XXXTENTACION mentioned in murder suspect’s hearing

During his set at Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival last summer, Uzi called XXX his “only competition” as he reflects on the fourth anniversary of his passing.

“It was an artist named XXX… Rest in peace to XXX,” he told the audience. “I’m not going to lie, music was a little different at the time – and different in a good way. It was like my only competition.

“Every time I fell, he fell. Or every time he fell, I fell. And he would go number one, or I would go number one. Either way, one of us would screw up.”
