In a Shade 45 interview with DJ Superstar Jay earlier this month, Wiz named the legendary Lil Wayne as his ideal Verzuz opponent – though his reasons were based more on the performance than the hit-for-hit competition aspect.

“I think it would be fun, yeah. Because Wayne is a really stupid performer,” Wiz said. “Me and him going back and forth doing bangers? That would be hard! And we both wanted to smoke hell weed. I think it would be more of a concert than a Verzuz.

Outside of music, Wiz is returning to the silver screen for the first time in over a decade Spinning gold coming to cinemas in March. The film documents the rise of Casablanca Records in the 1970s – which was home to Parliament-Funkadelic, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, the Isley Brothers and more.
