Whitesnake guitarist misses 4 shows in a row, fans show concern

White snake guitarist Reb Beach has missed four consecutive shows on David Coverdale-leading the hard rockers’ ongoing farewell tour that started last monthaccording to a report on June 23 of Blabbermouth.

Last week, Beach was said to be “under the weather.”

That’s what a Whitesnake guitarist is Joel Hoekstra told fans on social media. But as concert-goers reacted with concern after Beach still did not perform with Whitesnake for the next three shows, Hoekstra offered further updates about his bandmate.

See the posts at the bottom of this page.

On June 14, Hoekstra wrote in a tweet after Whitesnake’s performance in Prague, Czech Republic that evening, “A little stress at the last minute when Reb Beach was under the air and I had to cover his solos. But we gave you our best Prague ! The show must go on! “

Two days later, when a fan wrote back and wondered where Beach was, Hoekstra replied, “Hopefully back ASAP! No one missed him more than me.” A week later, Hoekstra answered another question about the musician in the same way – “Hopefully Rebel will return immediately,” he said.

In addition to the Whitesnakes Prague show on June 14, Beach also missed the band’s concerts at Belgium’s Graspop on June 17, a German concert on June 19, and a show in Switzerland on June 21. Whitesnake will play France’s Hellfest festival on Thursday (June)) 23).

It’s unclear what disease could plague Beach, and Whitesnake has not said whether the musician tested for COVID-19. Loudwire wishes Beach a speedy recovery. See Whitesnake’s remaining tour dates for the summer of 2022 under Hoekstra’s post. Get tickets here.
