Tool’s Danny Carey assault charge over airport row dismissed

UPDATE: According to Fox4 News Kansas Citythe assault is aimed at Tool drummer Danny Carey has been denied by prosecutors in the case. The court did not give a reason for dismissal, but declared the case closed as of 23. Carey was initially arrested for assault after a confrontation with airport security at the Kansas City airport that December. 12, 2021.

Tool drummer Danny Carey has been arrested for assault after getting into an altercation at the Kansas City airport, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement reported that airport police responded to an altercation between two men, one of whom was Carey. TMZ reports that he was arrested for assault after “getting into it with an employee who works security at the airport” and could face a fine of up to $13,900. TMZ has also published that Carey allegedly used a homophobic slur during her altercation with the male airport employee. The police report has been sent to the public prosecutor’s office, which must determine the exact charges. Carey was released on bond.

TMZ released a video of Carey’s arrest, which was documented by a civilian outside the airport terminal.

Over the weekend, the drummer was present at the University of Kansas vs. University of Missouri men’s basketball game in Lawrence, Kansas. He performed Jimi Hendrix sang “Fire” on drums with the Kansas band. Watch a video below.

Last week, Carey was also part of an all-star lineup of musicians who played a short set of songs for charityto raise money for Malibu Elementary School. Foo FightersTaylor Hawkins, Red Hot Chili PeppersChad Smith, queen of the stone age‘s Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen, Jane’s addictionis Chris Chaney and Ozzy Osbourne / Post Malone business partner Andrew Watt was also part of the project.
