Roddy Ricch feeds the streets by buying groceries for LA residents

Los Angeles, California –

Roddy Rich took his title Feed Tha Streets mixtape series literally earlier this week giving back to some Los Angeles residents by paying for their groceries.

The Compton native got on the loudspeaker at an LA grocery store and surprised customers by letting them know he would pay all their losses for the day.

“It’s Roddy Ricch, if I got some shoppers in here, we’re just coming over to pay for somebody’s groceries for the next 30 minutes,” he said over the PA system.

“If you have your groceries and you want us to pay for them and help you. We are here for you, go to the register – we have you and we appreciate you. We love [L.A.]. Good holiday.”

Roddy continued to hear stories from customers who were very grateful for his gesture to the point where one woman was on the verge of tears.

“Thank you so much, I just want to cry right now,” she said, while another shopper added: “This is a blessing today.”

The generosity came just as Roddy Ricch unleashed his long-awaited Feed Tha Streets 3 project from his famous mixtape series on Friday (November 18). The tape boasts 15 tracks compressed into 39 minutes with limited guest appearances from Lil Durk and Ty Dolla $ign.

The Grammy-winning rapper has been doing plenty of giving back in recent weeks, including when he pulled up to a middle school to offer some words of wisdom during his tour stop with Post Malone in New York City last month.

“We just wanted to come by and show you some love and be active in the community and just let you know that there’s somebody out there that cares about you,” he told the children in the school’s auditorium. “Everything we do is for the kids. We’re here for all of you. I was once in all of you.”

Roddy was also honored with an official citation by New York State Assemblywoman Monique Chandler-Waterman for his positive impact on the community.
