Drake joins Popcaan in tropical ‘We Caa Done’ video: Watch

Drake has linked up with his OVO Sound signee Popcorn in the video for their latest collaboration “We Caa Done.”

With director Theo Skudra behind the lens, October’s Very Own couple team up in Turks and Caicos as they bask in the island lifestyle. They jet ski and relax at beach bars, all while the acclaimed dancehall singer celebrates his wealth and lavish lifestyle.

“We Caa Done” was first teased by Popcaan on Twitter on Wednesday (January 4), two days before the release. The new single will appear on Poppy’s upcoming album He is bigwhich will be released later this year via OVO Sound.

The new project, which was supposed to arrive in 2022 but never materialized, comes two years after he ditched his Fix tape LP in 2020, which featured appearances from Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, French Montana and others.

Drizzy signed Popcaan to his OVO imprint back in 2016, and came under fire soon after by Mr. Vegas, who accused the 6 God of being a “fake” for not crediting the dancehall pioneers he used on his Views album.

“Why did Drake bring Beenie Man back to sing that record if that’s the one he wanted? Or why let Beenie Man do something new?” Vegas asked during an interview with Ebro in the morning back then.

“So then I go on listening to the record, and at the end of the record, when the record is done, you can hear the end of the record, Beenie Man does the outro. So I’m like, Drake is ravaging my artists. You guys are using my artists as intro men.”

Sir. Vegas referenced “Controlla,” which includes a Beenie Man sample from his song “Tear Off Mi Garment.” A sample of Popcaan’s “Luh Yuh Bad” was also included on Rihanna-assisted “Too Good”, and both dancehall artists are credited on the respective songs.

Popcaan was quick to defend his label bossand bit back at Vegas in a since-deleted Instagram post pledging his allegiance to OVO.

“OVO Unruly, we don’t need your help. Don’t try to offend my brother now,” he said. “You don’t know anything about Unruly or OVO. You don’t need to defend Popcaan.”
