Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix names his top 5 albums of all time

All musicians once started exclusively as music fans, i.a Jacoby Shaddix. In a new interview with AX TVthat Papa Roach frontman named his Top 5 favorite albums of all time.

The segment is part of AXS TV’s Stranded video series where artists choose the five albums they would choose to carry if they were stranded on an island. We heard recently Dee Snider‘s five favoriteswhich offered Queen and Led Zeppelinamong a few others. That Twisted sister frontman’s choices were quite different from Shaddix’s, but each artist has their own range of influences.

Shaddix may not love that Papa Roach is often considered a nu-metal band, but the rap-rock elements are definitely there, so it’s no surprise that Shaddix’s list of favorites would include albums by hip-hop artists, rappers and other artists who had a strong influence on the formation of the nu-metal genre. That doesn’t mean he’s limited to them, though — there are a few surprises on his list, too. And there are all the artists and records that we can thank for Papa Roach’s existence today.
