October 2022 New music releases

That The Beatles‘ expanded and remastered reissue series returns in October with a look back at Revolver. Featured is a new mix by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, developed with assistance from the sound team at Peter Jackson‘s WingNut Films Productions Ltd.

That Red Hot Chili Pepperssecond album of the year, The return of the dream canteenarrives six months after Rick Rubin– produced Unlimited love. Under the midnight sun was inspired by Cult frontman Ian Astbury‘s experience at the Provinssirock Festival, held somewhere in Finland so far north that the sun doesn’t set in the summer.

Todd Rundgren‘s Space strength will be released more than a year after he initially announced the project. The gang is here brands Skid Row‘s first outing with new singer Erik Gronwall and their first new music in almost eight years. An archive series with a focus on Lou Reed‘s earliest work began in September with Words and Music, May 1965; vinyl and cassette fans can celebrate the release later this month.

Peter Gabriel, Iggy Pop, James Taylor and Mavis Staples is part of an all-star cast on Here it is: One more tribute Leonard Cohen. INXS reveals the previously unreleased lives on American festival 1983; they also return to the 1982s Shaboo Shooba for an extended anniversary reissue.
