DJ Mustard’s Ex-wife reportedly demanded the producer pay her over $80,000 a month in child support.
According to The explosionChanel Thierry filed an order with a California judge on issues of child support, custody, spousal support, attorney fees and even an order based on lack of communication between the ex-spouses.
Thierry’s order requires both joint physical and joint legal custody of their three children, but asks the judge to give her “binding authority” over decisions regarding their children’s “health and education,” claiming it has become “increasingly difficult to be parents with Mustard as he does not communicate or respond to texts.”
In addition, Thierry says that their former nanny is now Mustard’s “house” manager, and that the lack of a nanny has made it even more difficult to communicate child-related issues to her ex-husband. To remedy this situation, Thierry has requested that Judge Mustard use “Our Family Wizard,” an online communication tool to stay in touch.
She also said her demands for $82,628 a month in child support are completely reasonable pending a “forensic evaluation” of Mustard’s finances, which Thierry’s lawyers said they have already reviewed and were over $10 million.
The explosion also obtained Chanel Thierry’s affidavit, which notes that Mustard “is a successful American record producer who earns an extraordinarily high salary” and “has more than enough income to pay for both his and my legal fees.”
So far, Mustard has contributed $25,000 in legal fees and $10,000 to his ex-wife’s current attorney and reportedly agreed to add another $20,000 to her current attorney.
The legal application comes after Thierry blasted Mustard for not contributing child supportand took to social media in November to call out the multi-platinum producer for failing to honor his obligations to his children.
“These men will be so bitter when they’re gone. How mad at me for stepping in after you left me,” Thierry wrote on Instagram at the time. “I don’t pay child support or alimony to purposefully despise me. After I already signed a preup. Talk about I want to leave with notninggggg sheesh it’s bittersweet.
She added: “At least share the family car, it’s crazy to force me to drive my Lambo with 3 kids. Won’t shut up for your comfort honey. You know me!”
In a follow-up Story, Thierry wrote: “IDC HOW MUCH MONEY A N-GGA GOT. I DON’T WANT TO STAY WHERE THE FUCK I’M NOT WANTED. MY LEGS MOVE TO THE BAG, NOT A N-GGA. PERIOD.”

Mustard (real name Dijon McFarlane) filed for divorce in May 2022 citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents at the time showed that he and Chanel Thierry had signed a prenuptial agreement prior to theirs 2020 wedding.
Mustard most recently filed for a status judgment, which would allow him and his ex to have single marital status.
He requested that the matters involving their children be pushed to a later date, and in another filing obtained by The explosionasked the court to “reserve jurisdiction over all other matters relating to the marriage, including, but not limited to, custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, division of community assets and liabilities, confirmation of separate property assets and liabilities, restitution claims, and attorney and expert fees and costs and any other matters that the Court deems appropriate and within the scope of jurisdiction.”
The couple will appear in court on February 1.
