Mount Westmore offers some ‘free play’ on new single

West Coast supergroup Mount Westmore have dropped some “Free Game” on the second single from their upcoming debut album, Snoop Cube $40 hort.

Comprised of hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg, Icing, E-40 and Too $hortthe group delivered their new single and its accompanying Cam Busby-directed video on Black Friday (November 25).

On the electro-funk driven track, E-40 sprinkles in some soulful gems before Snoop promotes black ownership and self-empowerment. $hort Dog and Cube follows and offers valuable life lessons at no extra cost.

The accompanying pic, directed by Cam Busby, sees all four rappers pull off a successful heist – check it out below.

Mount Westmore will drop their 16 track Snoop Cube $40 hort LP on December 9 after initially being accessible exclusively via blockchain under the title Bad MFs over the summer. The release for streamers will include additional tracks that were not included in the original release.

“You know what it is,” Cube said at the time of Bad MFs release. “Mount Westmore – you got the four pillars of West Coast Hip Hop. We’re down with prom music. We’re coming out with Mount Westmore BAD MFs album. There will be new music, new experiences, shows, everything Westmore got, baby, you get it.”

The effort comes almost two years after the group first formed – Which one HipHopDX brought the news about after getting an exclusive clip from MC Serch featuring an interview with Too $hort.

“I got a call in the early part of quarantine from E-40 and Ice Cube and said, ‘Man, we feel like we should make an album. Like me, you … it’s E-40, Cube, Too $hort and Snoop Dogg,” $hort told Serch during an interview for his Serch says podcast.

“And I’m like — E-40 and Too $hort from the bay, Snoop Dogg and Cube are from LA, and we like the West Coast Foundation. We sat there and said, ‘Fuck it, let’s do it.’ So we start making beats.”

A few months later in April 2021, the group released their first single on Triller’s Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren matchand have since kept their momentum going towards their upcoming debut.
