Luke Bryan is moving its country forward in more ways than one.

The singer told SiriusXM’s The Highway that he was halfway through making his next album and can not wait for fans to hear his anthemic new single “Country On”, which will be released on Friday.

“This is the first part of a project I’m working on,” he explains. “I mean, I’ve probably got half of the project done. Hopefully, while ‘Country On’ goes up on the charts, (I will) spend a few more months writing a lot of music, working hard in the studio and then going in and cutting some more songs and having the ability to put an entire album ude. “

Bryan thinks he already has several songs that could be singles, but he wants to focus on releasing the best music he can, and having fun while doing it.

“The rest manages itself,” he says.

He hopes his new song “County On” will unite Americans with a message he thinks most country fans can embrace.

“When you think about it on a t-shirt and everyone says ‘Country On’ when you’m having a bad day and you know you can drink a beer and ‘Country On’, then it feels pretty good, “Bryan says. “But I love what the song says. I love that it lifts the hard-working American people out there, and it brings a lot of togetherness. This song just has feel-good vibes all around, and I’m just honored to have it out. . “

SiriusXM host Buzz Brainard told Bryan he had everyone covered in the song, from farmers and bartenders to soldiers and truck drivers.
Bryan added songwriters to the list.

“Anytime you can refer to country music fans in a song and you can really make it feel natural (it’s great),” he says. “This song does. And I think it’s going to be pretty amazing to get it out.”

The native Georgia is about to embark on her Raised Up Right Tour. He takes Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny and DJ Rock with him on the tour, which will meander through more than 30 cities before ending in late October.

“My favorite place to be is on stage and performing for country music fans,” Bryan said in a statement. “So grateful every night when I go out on that stage and know you’re there to have fun next to me. It never gets old.”
