What’s her name, what’s her name? Lisa sat down to a new profile with CR fashion book released Friday (Sept. 16), and Billboard has the exclusive scoop on his thoughts on BLACK ROSE SAIDs new album, her fashion ambitions and more.
“Before our comebacks, we always get into long conversations about what we can do to improve,” the Thai K-pop idol told the fashion mag about how she, Rosé, Jisoo and Jennie attack each other new BLACKPINK era. “We try to get the best results by discussing our thoughts on music videos, outfits, choreography and even the smallest details like hair colors.”
The rapper also talked about his special connection with the girl group Blinks, especially in the run-up to BORN PINKwhich arrived Friday on the heels of a blistering lead single”Pink Venom.” “I think our fans are as excited about our new album as we are,” she said. “Their reactions are one of my biggest motivations. Their constant support always inspires me to aim for better.”
While it has been almost two years BLACK ROSE SAID dropped their highly anticipated debut studio set The album, Lisa hardly used the time between albums to sit back and relax. “I have also worked with music, as well as other areas that I am interested in, such as fashion and photography, to improve myself as an artist. ‘Enjoy the process, focus on today and do my best’ has always been my motto, and it became a solid mindset that prepares this comeback.”
And speaking of her interest in fashion, the “LALISA” singer stunned in the photo shoot in a series of Celine streetwear looks thanks to her role as the brand’s global brand ambassador. She also recently got the chance to shine on the Celine runway as a celebrity model.
“Being able to walk the runway as a model in itself was a great honor as the Celine show is a dream stage for any model,” admitted Lisa. “I decided to participate when Celine asked me to, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience.”
