Kodak Black & Desiigner Respond To 21 Savage Verzuz Claims | HipHopDX

Kodak black and Designer have responded to 21 Savagewho recently claimed no one on their 2016 XXL Freshmen List could beat him in one Verzuz match.

During a recent clubhouse conversation, 21 Savage proposed to him could beat anyone in his XXL Freshman Class, who included Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, G Herbo, Dave East, Lil Dicky, Desiigner and Anderson .Paak.

“None from that Freshman cover [could] beat me without Verzuz,” he declared. “None.”

Kodak wasted no time addressing 21’s claims during a recent Instagram Live stream. According to Yak, he respected the Slaughter Band rapper’s opinion but ultimately disagreed.

“That’s how you should feel, know what I mean?” he said. “But you know I always put myself first before any n-gga, any day. That’s it.”

Desiigner took matters into his own hands and reminded 21 of all the accomplishments he’s accomplished since dropping his smash hit “Panda” in 2016.

“Hey man, why are you talking like that?” he said in an Instagram Stories post. “You are 21. [I] went platinum 20 times. … Stop playing.”

At press time, no one else has responded to 21’s claim. However, it would be quite interesting to see who from that 2016 Freshman Class would be able to go toe-to-toe with 21 Savage.

The Atlanta native has certainly made his mark since appearing on the Freshman cover in June 2016. The British-born rapper has contributed to over 60 Billboard Hot 100 hits, including two No. 1 singles: the diamond-certified “Rockstar” featuring Post Malone and “Jimmy Cooks” with Drake.

He has also released four projects that have invaded the top five of the Billboard 200, including the chart I am > I was and Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin. He has two platinum albums, with 2017’s Issa album and the 2018s I am > I was.

21 Savage has yet to enter the Verzuz arena, but has been previously challenged by Foolio. The Jacksonville, Florida native challenged 21 to a match after he called for a city-versus-city competition, but was quickly beaten away.

“I swear I can beat Jacksonville alone, bruh,” 21 Savage boasted, before Foolio pointed out that rappers in the Florida city are just getting started. “You are,” added 21, “but I’ll beat you alone. Facts.”
