Hoobastank Prep docuseries about making their debut album in 2001

Hooba tank will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2001 self-titled album, the hit-making Hooba tankwith a series of documents describing the effort.

The first episode premieres via Hoobastank’s Youtube next week. The seven-part series includes never-before-seen footage of the recording sessions, along with newly filmed interviews with members of the Californian alt-rock act and the album’s producer.

But that’s not all. Hoobastank will toast the 20th anniversary on the road when they launch a nostalgic 2022 walk with their contemporaries i Lit. The tour covers much of the southern US with stops in 16 cities starting next month. (See all dates below.)

The self-titled Hoobastank album on Island Records kick-started the band’s mainstream arc upon its release in late 2001. The effort’s singles, “Crawling in the Dark”, “Remember Me” and “Running Away” – the latter two released in 2002 – pushed albums to RIAA platinum certified in USA

But while Hooba tank is the group’s major label debut, they released their very first album in 1998, still spelling their name as “Hoobustank”. The 10 song They sure don’t make basketball shorts like they used to… has a ska-punk style compared to the band’s successful nu-metal sound.

Hoobastank gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road, inside the studio and more in their upcoming docuseries as the band reflects on the 20th anniversary of their self-titled album.

In 2001, the So/Cal alt-rock band’s self-titled release, ‘Hoobastank’, launched the band’s career into mainstream success. … The band will release the docuseries in parts over the next few weeks, with new episodes coming out every other week.
