New Around the World: Feid Adds Another Global Hit With ‘Prohibidox’

While BLACK ROSE SAID claiming the top six debuts on Billboard Global Excl. American chart dated Oct. 1, a handful of American, Latin and Asian acts arrive elsewhere in the global surveys. Of them, especially Colombia’s Feud scoring his third contribution in the last month and his sixth contribution since mid-July.

Feid arrives at No. 123 with “Prohibidox,” powered by 11.4 million official streams outside the U.S. in the week ending September. 22, according to Luminate, marking one of his four simultaneous hits on the chart.

Feid’s hot streak started at the July 23-dated Global Excl. US chart when “Normal” and “La Inocente,” the latter with Mora, debuted at Nos. 45 and 170, respectively. After diving from its starting point and peak, the former has stabilized and the latter has steadily grown, reaching No. 98. They currently rank at No. 118 and 121, respectively.

The next month, “Si Te La Encuentras Por Ahí” joined the party, debuting at its No. 83 high on Aug. 20-dated list.

In September, Feid added “Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo,” which arrived on the Sept. 3-dated chart and jumps to No. 60 this week. On Sept. 24 issues, “Ferxxo 100” debuted at #195.

That brings us to “Prohibidox,” new at No. 123 on Global Excl. US, as well as at No. 172 on the Billboard Global 200. The track debuts after Sept. 14 release of Feid’s Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Álbum.

Feid’s accumulation of hits is significant, as he hadn’t been listed as the sole main artist until July. For the global excl. US charts first 12 weeks beginning in September 2020, he was represented by the all-star collaboration “Porfa” along with J Balvin, Maluma, Nicky Jam, Sec and Justin Quiles. In April he came on the map with “Pantysito”, with Alejo and Robi.

Considering how collaborative Latin music’s biggest stars are, Feid’s growth from team-ups to a slew of solo hits puts him in notable company. Only among Spanish-language core artists Bad rabbit (16) and Rau Alejandro (four) has as many hits as Feid on the latest Global Excl. American chart.
