Disturbed Announce ‘Divisive’ Album + Debut Pounding New Song ‘Unstoppable’

Disturbed have just announced all the details for their new album, Divisiveand has also debuted the pounding second single, “Unstoppable.”

“Partisan tribal warfare has become a part of our ordinary existence today. It’s one big battle between the cliques. The whole idea of the record is to be a wakeup call for everyone,” begins the singer David Draimanand comments on the driving force behind the band’s eighth album.

“Our society has become addicted to outrage,” he continues, “However, music is the best cure for what ails us. If only everyone reached out and used it. There’s no better environment to forget all that crap than live music . We can be together and realize that we have more in common than not. Recognize what is happening and let’s make a change for the better.”

“Whatever it takes, we have to do it together,” states the guitarist Dan Donegan“We’ve always tried to take negative subjects and spin them in a positive light. From touring the world, we’ve seen the power of music as the universal language to bring everyone together from all walks of life. We can still play songs to unite people, and it’s a pretty strong feeling.”

As for “Unstoppable,” it’s an empowering, anthemic track—something Disturbed has displayed a remarkable knack for writing throughout their career.

“‘Unstoppable’ is definitely one of the heavier tracks on the record. The groove builds into a bombastic beast. It’s really the fight song,” Draiman says of the new single. “We always have a big rock anthem on every album,” says Donegan, “We love writing empowering songs to motivate. We’re avid sports fans and that’s definitely part of it. It’s an in-your-face track , definitely.”

Disturbed, “Unstoppable” lyrics

You will never stop me
I’m the nightmare you’ve been dreaming about
And the day is approaching
Let me show you what I’m made of
This is just the beginning
Your wholeness is justified
Let me tell you something
There is nowhere left for you to hide

Justice will be mine
You can be sure

That sound of your heartbeat
Like a time bomb slowly ticking down
You won’t see me coming
I can end your life without a sound

Hear me now
It is inevitable
I have fulfilled my promise
There is no escape
I’m unstoppable

I’m unstoppable

There can be no penance
For the parasite you have become
There is no repentance
This judgment cannot be reversed
There will be no mercy
No leniency while I’m alive
Revenge is coming
Believe it now, you will not survive

Justice will be mine
You can be sure

That sound of your heartbeat
Like a time bomb slowly ticking down
You won’t see me coming
I can end your life without a sound

Hear me now
It is inevitable
I have fulfilled my promise
I’m unstoppable
Don’t want to run
It’s over this time
You are going to pay now
For all you have taken
Hear me now
There is no escape
I’m unstoppable

I am, I am, I am, I am
I am
I’m unstoppable
I am, I am, I am, I am
I am
I’m unstoppable
I am, I am, I am, I am
I am
I’m unstoppable

Hear me now
It is inevitable
I have fulfilled my promise
I’m unstoppable
Don’t want to run
It’s over this time
You are going to pay now
For all you have taken
Hear me now
There is no escape
I’m unstoppable

(You will never stop me
I’m unstoppable
You’ll Never Stop Me)
I’m unstoppable
