Benny the Butcher has flexed his financial muscles in unorthodox fashion, claiming he paid an exorbitant amount of money so his dog could get his own driver’s license.
“Everybody say they get money but my dog got a driver’s license,” the Griselda rapper said in a video showing his pup in the driver’s seat. “You n-ggas don’t get money like me. N-gga, do you know how much a dog’s license costs? I used it. Fuck what are you n-ggas talking about?”
Benny added in his caption: “I’m really getting to the bag.”

Benny The Butcher isn’t the only rapper who trains his dog to perform amazing tricks. In 2020, Murda told Mook Drink Champs that the late DMX had trained his signature Pitbulls to drop ad-libs during a freestyle.
Speaking of DMX, Benny’s latest flex about his canine companion comes after he recently announced his next project will be the best Def Jam record since X’s groundbreaking 1998 debut, It’s dark and hell is hot.
“Imma got the best Hip Hop @defjam album since DMX It’s Dark & Hell is Hot,” Benny wrote on Twitter in late October.
To clarify just how bold his claim was, Spotify’s head of Urban Music tweeted that if Benny’s statement has any truth to it, it would also surpass all Kanye West project from College dropout to Pablo’s life, JAY-Z‘s Black album and Blueprint, Jeez‘s The recession and Thug Motivation 101, Pusha T‘s Daytona and Scarface’s The correction.
But it is not the first time that the Griselda rhymer stands solidly behind his music. Before he dropped his latest album Tana Talk 4he said the project was a candidate for album of the year for 2022 and challenged his critics to bet against him.
“While the n-ggas talk their shit, who bet my shit goes crazy when I drop Tana Talk 4,” Benny asked his fans in an Instagram video in January. “If anyone doubts me, who will bet?” What are we talking about? Who wants to bet on me?”
He continued: “I know the same n-ggas talkin’ that shit. What are we doing right now? Album of the year, who wanna bet on me right now. Album of the year for consideration before it even came out or even heard a single. I got 10 bands to anyone’s five and I got 20 bands to someone’s 10. Who wants to take that bet?”
