Alanis Morissette honors former bandmate Taylor Hawkins on stage

Alanis Morissette honored his former bandmate Taylor Hawkins during a recent show in London. Watch her tribute on stage to the late legendary drummer below.

Hawkins has been in several bands and worked with lots of musicians. He was part of Morissette’s touring band from 1995-1997 before joining Foo Fighters that same year. You can see him in her music videos to “You should know” and “You learn.”

In an interview on Matt Wilkinson Show in 2018, he expressed his gratitude to Morissette, saying he would not be here if it were not for her, adding that he would “deliver pizza if it were not for Morissette.”

According to NMEMorissette is on her Sharp little pill anniversary tour, and she paid tribute to Hawkins during the first of two shows at The O2 in London. She honored the drummer while playing her song “Ironic” at the end of her set. Pictures of Hawkins were shown while she was playing the song, and when it was over, there was another picture of him on screen with “In Memory of Taylor Hawkins” above the picture.

Hawkins sadly died at the age of 50 in his hotel room Bogotá, Colombia while touring with the Foo Fighters earlier this year. Tons of tributes have been made to honor the drummer. In September, there will be twoFoo Fighters and Hawkins Family present Taylor Hawkins Tribute concerts“and Morissette will be a guest performer at the Los Angeles show.
