This year’s theme is “Kaisa Ka Sa Musika” (You Are One With The Music). In a announcement shared on January 21, UP Fair recalled how their last live edition of 2020 came at an extraordinarily challenging time when the pandemic brought down many institutions in the country, exacerbated by the crisis under former President Rodrigo Duterte’s regime.

They wrote, “It is about a Sunken Garden and it is a big part of kasaysayan ng that is bansa na siyang kasaysayan din ng walang humpay and struggle to create culture, kabuhayan and karapatan.” (When we are in the Sunken Garden, let us take to heart the history of our country, which is also the history of the relentless struggle for our culture, livelihood and rights.)
