WTF has happened to Ezra Miller? This is a question all fans of WB/DC’s The lightning have been asking themselves for the past few months. Undoubtedly, a talented performer, Miller played Barry Allen/The Flash to great fans Justice League (a performance greatly improved by Zack Snyder’s full version of the film), but for a while it seemed unlikely that it would ever reprise the role in the promised spin-off film. The lightning was in development hell for years and went through many directors and it seemed at one point that WB was going to reboot the character and move on. Maybe WB wishes that’s what they did, although word on the street is that the finished film of Andres Muschietti is fantastic. We saw some footage at CinemaCon, and the hype is real. However, the absence of any footage at Comic-Con last weekend was glaring to say the least.
All of this brings us to Ezra Miller. Over the past few months, Miller appeared to be self-destructing in real time with dire rumors and stories that cast doubt on the actor’s sanity. Can Miller’s career and The lightning be saved? Should they be? We break it all down in this week’s episode of WTF happened to this celebritywritten (with Brad Hamerly), narrated and edited by Taylor James Johnson.
Do you think Miller should continue as The lightning? Tell us in the comments.
