The Witcher: Blood Origin teaser trailer takes us back more than 1000 years before The Witcher

Originally expected to be a six-episode series, The Witcher prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin has been condensed into “a special four-part event” that will hit the Netflix streaming service on December 25Th. With the premiere date just over a month away, one more teaser trailer The Witcher: Blood Origin has arrived online and you can check it out in the embed above!

Set in “an elven world” 1200 years before the events we saw in it The Witcher, The Witcher: Blood Origin Narrator a story lost in time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher and the events that led to the decisive “connection of the spheres”, when the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one.

Blood Origin Laurence O’Fuarain stars as Fjall, born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king and now in search of redemption; Sophia Brown as Éile, an elite warrior who left her clan to become a nomadic musician; Michelle Yeoh as Scían, the last of a tribe of sword-elves; Lenny Henry as a character named Balor; Mirren Mack as Merwyn; Nathaniel Curtis as Brian; Dylan Moran as Uthrok One-Nut; Jacob Collins Levy as Eredin; Lizzie Annis as Zacaré; Huw Novelli as Callan, aka “Brother Death”; Francesca Mills as Meldof; Amy Murray as Ensign; Minnie Driver as shapeshifting storyteller Seanchaí; and Zach Wyatt as Syndril.

The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich and Blood Origin showrunner Declan De Barra serves as executive producer on The Witcher: Blood Origin, along with Matt O’Toole, Hivemind’s Jason Brown and Sean Daniel, and Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko of Platige Films. Andrzej Sapkowski, author of the books The Witcher is inspired by, is involved as a creative consultant.

While I loved first season of The WitcherI still need to catch up second season… and my interest in the entire franchise took a serious blow when it was recently announced that Henry Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in season 4. But I will give The Witcher: Blood Origin a chance at some point.
