The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer brings Mando and Grogu back to Mandalore

A brand new trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 fell just below the NFL Wild Card Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you are hungry to return to one of the best live-action Star wars projects out there – and who isn’t – so check out the trailer above!

It feels like it’s been way too long since the wonderful Season 2 finale where Grogu left Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) to train as a Jedi Knight with Luke Skywalker. Since the last episode, we’ve seen the debut of several new live-action Star Wars TV shows, including The book about Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobiand Andor. As we saw in The book about Boba Fett, Grogu ultimately decided to leave Skywalker’s school and join Djarin, setting the stage for the third season. “The journey of the mandalorians through Star wars galaxy goes on” reads the official synopsis. “Din Djarin once a lone bounty hunter is reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.” The mention of The New Republic suggests that the story might be even bigger in the new season.

As we see in the new The Mandalorian season 3 trailer, the upcoming season will take us back to Mandalore, where Djarin hopes to be forgiven for his past transgressions. Now that Djarin is in possession of the Darksaber, which is typically wielded by the ruler of Mandalore, there may be some akavette there. Along with Djarin and Grogu, we can expect to see the return of Bo-Katan Kryse (Katee Sackhoff), The Armorer (Emily Swallow), Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) and Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi). True to tradition, the series almost certainly has some big surprises in store. Pascal has previously teased to The Mandalorian season 3 is “even better than the previous one. It’s safe to say you’ll love it.

Another brand new poster The Mandalorian Season 3 was also released earlier today, depicting Din Djarin and Grogu in the midst of a battle, with Djarin using his jetpack to escape while clutching Grogu in his arms. You can check it out below.
