Forest Hills star Shelley Duvall sits down for an interview with Grimm Life Collective

YouTube channel Grimm Life Collective has released an interview with Shelley Duvall from The Shining, The Forest Hills and more

Evil hotel‘s Shelley Duvall returns to acting after a twenty-year hiatus in the upcoming creature feature The forest hills – and Michael and Jessica Kolence from the YouTube channel Grimm Life Collective happens to be producing on that film, which opened the door for them to get the chance to spend the day with Duvall. As part of that day, they conducted an interview with Duvall, and the video of that interview can be seen at the bottom of this article. It’s a very nice, sweet interview as the Kolences express a lot of love for Duvall’s work while discussing projects such as Popeye, Adventure theaterand of course, Evil hotel.

Written and directed by Scott Goldberg, The forest hills tells the story of a man plagued by nightmarish visions after suffering head trauma while camping in the Catskill Forest. The trailer embedded above makes it clear that this creature feature is a werewolf story.

Duvall is joined by Chiko Mendez (Suffocated by mothers), Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgment Day),

Dee Wallace (Critters), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Stacey Nelkin (Halloween III: Season of the Witch), Marianne Hagan (Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers), and Linda Flores (Cops and robbers). The film’s IMDb page previously listed scream queen Debbie Rochon as a cast member, but her name has since been removed, so apparently she’s not in the film after all. Duvall plays “the mother of the mentally and emotionally disturbed Rico (Mendez), who serves as his inner voice.”

Goldberg told Deadline he was inspired to cast Duvall The forest hills because shecontributed to Evil hotel to be an absolute masterpiece in giving it her all, and acting in a way that really showed the fear and terror of a mother in isolation.

Goldberg has previously directed several short films, a few documentaries (including the Scream Factory Blu-ray bonus featurette Underground: A Look Into the Day of the Dead Mines), and the horror function Dead End massacre.

Scott Hansen produced The forest hills with Dreznick Goldberg Productions and Digital Thunderdome Studios. Goldberg serves as co-producer. The producers are currently running a fundraising campaign Indiegogo to cover post-production costs.
