The Texas Chainsaw Massacre gameplay video provides the first hands-on preview of the gameplay

That The Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game being developed by Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham will not be released until sometime before 2023but Ryan McCaffrey at IGN is a very lucky person and already had the chance to play six rounds of the game! You can watch a video of McCaffrey’s gameplay, accompanied by talk about his very positive experience playing the game, in the embed at the bottom of this article.

Battle of this The Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game will pit four potential victims against three killers. You can read about the character of the victim HERE. In addition to the killers from the movie, the game will also feature killer characters invented specifically for this game. During the matches he played, McCaffrey only had access to the killers from the movie: Leatherface, the Cook and the Hitch-hiker. Battles will take place on maps that are incredible recreations of locations from the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacreas you can see in this video. The matches McCaffrey played took place on the farm map.

That The Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game is set before the events of the original film and has the following setup:

When Maria Flores disappeared and local law enforcement seemed to stall in their search, her younger sister Ana teamed up with some of Maria’s friends from college to find the trail. It’s time for you to meet our cast of victims.

The cast that has been assembled to bring The Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game characters to life include genre icon Kane Hodder, who does the motion-capture performance for Leatherface; Edwin Neal, who provided the voice of the Hitchhiker, the character he played in the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; and Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Kristina Klebe (Don’t kill it), Sean Whalen (The people under the stairs), and Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Swap at Night) in unspecified roles.
