When the trailer to Sonic the Hedgehog animated film premiered, fans freaked out. The one who appeared in that trailer was does not Sonic the Hedgehog. And they freaked out so much that Paramount actually decided to delay the movie and make the character look like the version of the creature from the games. It all worked out; Sonic looked better, the movie was a hit and got a sequel.
There will be no such complaints Super Mario Bros. Movie. Mario looks like Mario. Bowser looks like Bowser. But the first trailer for the film suggests there could be Other things problems. Chris Pratt voices Mario, and he sounds nothing like the games’ Mario. Gone is Mario’s big cartoonish Italian accent. Instead, Mario basically just sounds like plain old Chris Pratt. He doesn’t even say “Here gooooo!” he says “SpongeBob, here we come!”
