Before his removal, Justin Roiland said that a “infinite” the amount of sci-fi stories in the multiverse could continue with the series in the coming years. “I don’t see any kind of big, huge ending, said Roiland.Even if we did, you just have all the other multiverses… You could just take up another family with another Rick. It could kind of go on forever.” With the voices of Justin Roiland, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer, Rick and Morty follows”a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson along on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez lives with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly brings her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.” Sixth season of Rick and Morty ended at the end of last year, but the writers already finished the seventh season over a year ago and are currently working on the eighth season of the series.

Justin Roiland pleaded not guilty in 2020 to one felony count of domestic violence with bodily injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by threats, violence, fraud and/or deception. A trial date has not been set, but he faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
