Just because Light years is a Pixar movie, does not mean that it is exclusively a movie for children. (Let’s be honest: Many Pixar movies are as much or more for adults than for kids.) In fact, Light years centers on a surprisingly serious and realistic depiction of time travel and time dilation, which occurs every time the film’s Buzz Lightyear tests his spaceship’s engine in an attempt to get himself and his crew home from a mission gone awry.
