Jonathan Majors took some real hits while making Creed III, but that’s fine by him considering he’s now part of the Rocky franchise.
Jonathan Majors has been on a much deserved roll, and after strong performances in Spike Lee’s Then 5 Blood and Western The harder they fallhe seeks to blow up in one major way this year. More impressive is that Jonathan Majors is willing to take some real hits for his work, as he did for the upcoming one Creed III.
IN Creed III, Jonathan Majors plays Damian Anderson, the latest adversary of Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed. As it turns out, Majors took a few good shots from his co-star. But there’s no bad blood there, because the actor is just happy to be around Rocky franchise, which has its ninth outing in the ring on March 3rd. “I took a couple, I think. I loved it. I’m just so humbled by the opportunity to be a part of Rocky franchise. Sly, Michael B. Jordan, it’s like, if I’m going to be in that lineage, even as a villain, I’m going to go for it. So yes [Michael] can catch me a few times. I took some body shots and gave a few too.”
Not only have Creed III proved how devoted Jonathan Majors can be, but he’s done that too Magazine dreamswhere he plays bodybuilder Killian Maddox. “I’m 6 feet tall. I weigh 202 pounds…To maintain that and to grow, you have to eat as much protein as you weigh. I ate 6,100 calories a day for about four months. That included processed and reworked by Creed III.” Besides the, Majors said, “The normal bodybuilder works out twice a day. I play Killian Maddox… You don’t screw around playing him. What ended up happening was I worked out two hours, twice a day for the movie and a third time after the wrap. In the meantime, you eat six times a day. Lots of chicken. Lots of elk.”
On 17 Februarywill Majors make his MCU debut on the big screen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, plays the main antagonist Kang the Conqueror. Judging by the preparation Jonathan Majors did for both Creed III and Magazine dreamswe are a little afraid to wonder just exactly what he did to make sure the character is effective.
While the releases of the third entries in boats Creed and Ant man sagas are imminent, Magazine dreams has generated a lot of buzz at the Sundance Film Festival. In his 8/10 reviewour own Chris Bumbray wrote it “the kind of movie that’s likely to inspire a lot of discourse, with the buzz from Sundance overwhelmingly positive, even if the nihilism rubbed the wrong way. It’s a tough watch, but sometimes movies like this are essential.”
