House of Darkness trailer: Justin Long, Kate Bosworth star in Neil LaBute thriller

Two days ago, we shared the news that director Neil LaBute’s dark comedy / seductive thriller House of Darkness gets a limited theatrical release on September 9th, courtesy of Saban Films. The theatrical run will be followed by a VOD release on September 13Th. With these dates coming soon, one more trailer House of Darkness has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above!

Starring Justin Long (Tusk) and Kate Bosworth (Before I wake up), House of Darkness tells the following story:

Driving home to his secluded estate after meeting at a local bar, a player out to score thinks his beautiful, mysterious date will be another casual encounter. As they get to know each other, their flirtation becomes playful, sexy and creepy. Hoping to get lucky, his luck may have just run out.

Gia Crovatin (Dirty weekend) and Lucy Walters (the Get Shorty TV series) is also on the cast list.

Daryl Freimark, Tim Harms and Shaun Sanghani produced House of Darknesswith Michael Barnett as associate producer, Shelley D. Needham as co-producer and Stephen Morgenstern and Jonathan Saba as executive producers.

LaBute is perhaps best known for his 2006 version of the That Braided man (Nicolas Cage says it was meant to be a comedy), but in addition to the blunder of a remake, he has also directed In the company of men, your friends and neighbors, nurse Betty, possession (2002), The Shape of Things, Lakeview Terrace, Death at a Funeral (2010), and section of Hell on Wheels, Billions, Billy & Billieand The I-land, among other. It was recently announced that he is working with Maggie Q on a home invasion thriller called Fear the night.
