It feels like there is a very vocal segment of DC Comics audiences who really crave adult, mature versions of corporate characters. If you want to consider yourself part of that segment, then Harley Quinnas stars Kaley Cuoco as the title character is for you. This is the DC show with sex, violence and swear words galore. It is not technically R-rated because TV shows are not rated R. But that is the only reason why it is not. This is does not a show for children. Keep them far away so that their brains do not become permanently soiled.
The new trailer for season 3 of the series makes it clear that the adult content continues to a great extent Harley Quinn this year. The trailer contains lots of ugly language, tons of insinuations, graphic bloody action and more. Check it out below.
Here is the season’s official synopsis:
The chaos and madness continues in season three of this biting and outrageous animated comedy series for adults. End of their “Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour,” Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) return to Gotham as the DC villain’s new power couple. Together with their ragtag crew – King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), Frank the Plant (JB Smoove) – “Harlivy” strives to be the best version of themselves, while also working towards Ivy’s long wanted plan to transform Gotham into an Eden paradise.
Harley Quinn Season 3 premieres on HBO Max on July 28th. New episodes premiere weekly through September. The look by The suicide group director James Gunn is very appealing. I’m wondering what he should do besides sitting on Clayface …
