Ezra Miller pleads guilty to burglary as part of plea deal

The lightning old Ezra Miller on Friday in Vermont pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing in a case stemming from an incident in May 2022. Miller was allegedly burglarized at a home in Stamford, Vermont, where several bottles of alcohol were found missing. Miller had has previously pleaded not guilty to charges including burglary back in October 2022.

As part of their plea agreement, Miller will receive a year of probation and pay a fine. They were also given a suspended sentence until their probation. The other charges were dismissed.

Miller’s attorney, Lisa Shelkrot, provided this statement about the plea agreement Yahoo!:

Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process, and would like to once again acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their continued mental health.

After a series of clashes with police around the country, Miller announced in August 2022 that they were seeking treatment for “complex mental health problems.” Here was Miller’s statement at the time:

After going through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment. I would like to apologize to everyone that I have been disturbed and upset by my past behavior. I am committed to doing the work necessary to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.

Although the release of The lightning has been delayed several times during the pandemic, Warner Bros. has never wavered in insisting that the film would eventually be released to theaters despite Miller’s frequent personal problems. At the time of this writing, The lightning is still scheduled to open in theaters on June 16.
