A film that flew a bit under the radar (pun intended) this year is the war drama, Devotion. Jonathan Majors, whose star is on the rise with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out together with Creed IIIshows off his chops as the leading man in this historical air combat film based on a true story. Devotion is set to be available for purchase with never-before-seen bonus content on Digital in the US and Canada as well as streaming on Paramount+ this January 8.
The official synopsis reads,
Directed by JD Dillard (partner, Sleight), Jonathan Majors (“Creed III”) and Glen Powell (TOP GUN: MAVERICK) star in the true story of two elite US Navy fighter pilots who helped turn the tide in the most brutal battle of the Korean War: Jesse Brown , first black aviator in Navy history and his fellow fighter pilot and friend, Tom Hudner. Their heroic sacrifices and enduring friendship would ultimately make them the Navy’s most famous wingmen. Additional cast includes Christina Jackson (“Swagger”), Thomas Sadoski (“The Newsroom”) and Joe Jonas (The Jonas Brothers, DNCE).
