Deadstream trailer: found footage horror comedy coming to Shudder in October

Director duo Joseph Winter and Vanessa Winter contributed a segment to the found-footage horror anthology W/H/S/99which will be released through Shake streaming service on October 20. But before the film comes out, Shudder subscribers will have a chance to see Winters’ found-footage horror comedy Dead streamwhich is set to start streaming on October 6Th. To help start building the hype for Dead streamShudder has released a trailer for the film – and you can watch it in the embed at the top of this article.

a disgraced internet personality who tries to win back his followers by live streaming a night alone in a haunted house. But when he accidentally pisses off a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.

Joseph Winter stars in the film alongside Melanie Stone (We’re Alive: Frontier) and Jason K. Wixom (The 13th Cross).

Horror says Dead stream is “a rare horror comedy as scary as it is funny. The Winters have boldly announced themselves as exciting new talent ready to take the genre scene by storm.” The Winters produced the film with Stone and cinematographer Jared Cook, who also appears on screen.

I’m not generally a fan of found footage horror, but the fact that this one has a comedic element has me somewhat intrigued. I will watch it if it gets good word of mouth.
