Continue: Taron Egerton is set to star in a Christmastime TSA thriller from director Jaume Collet-Serra

Nothing says Christmas thriller like a crowded airport and a suspicious package. Netflix and Amblin go together about continuean upcoming feature film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle cruise, Black Adam) and cast members Taron Egerton (Rocket man, Kingsman: The Golden Circle). TJ Fixman wrote the script’s first draft, with Michael Green responsible for the final polish. Dylan Clark (Batman) produces. continue is the first production of the overall deal between Netflix and Amblin.

continue revolves around Ethan Kopek (Egerton), a young TSA agent who is blackmailed by a mysterious traveler into letting a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight. Ho ho ho, boy! So much for the friendly skies, eh? Allowing a package like that to be loaded onto an overcrowded plane is a surefire way to land yourself on Santa’s naughty list. Don’t do that, Ethan!

Amblin’s president of production, Holly Bario, will oversee the project on behalf of the studio. Brian Williams will produce through Dylan Clark Productions alongside Scott Greenberg and Seth William Meier.

Collet-Serra’s Black Adam made a splash at Comic-Con last weekend, with Dwayne Johnson promising big things for fans looking forward to the film. Collet-Serra is no stranger to action thrillers, having directed films such as Without stopping and Unforgettable. While Jungle cruise and Black Adam are significant tent pole projects, continue is something of a return to the filmmaker’s roots.

What do you think of the plot? continue? If you were a TSA agent, do you think you could be bought to let a mysterious package slip through security? Everyone has their price, right? Maybe not. I would root for the person who tried to make the deal so fast their head would spin.

I look forward to seeing how Ethan handles this scary situation when continue touches down.
