Blood clip: Michelle Monaghan proves she would do anything for her child

A new clip from Brad Anderson’s horror film Blood shows Michelle Monaghan’s character proving she’ll do anything for her child

Last week we shared a cut from Session 9 (see it HERE) director Brad Anderson’s new horror film Blood which featured characters played by Michelle Monaghan (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and Finlay Wojtak-Hissong (The movie Banana Splits) is attacked by a vicious dog. Now another clip from Blood has come online and this one shows Monaghan’s character going to extreme lengths to help his son after that dog attack. You can watch the clip in the embed at the bottom of this article.

Screenplay by Will Honley, Blood sees Monaghan take on the role of Jess, a nurse and mother, has recently been separated from her husband, who moves her daughter Tyler and young son Owen back to her old farmhouse. Shortly after settling in, Owen’s dog escapes into the woods and returns days later, bloodied and rabid. When he attacks and bites Owen, the resulting infection from the bite becomes more alarming each day as Owen’s behavior becomes terrifying and deadly. As he descends deeper into the depths of the disease, Jess discovers a disturbing cure that makes her question how far she is willing to go to keep her child alive.

Monaghan is joined by Skeet Ulrich (Scream) as Jess’ estranged husband, Skylar Morgan Jones (Terror in the forest) as her daughter Tyler, and Wojtak-Hissong as her son Owen. June B. Wilde (Final destination 5), Rodrigo Beilfuss (Intersection), and Erik Athavale (Orphan: First Kill) is also in the cast.

A production of Rhea Films and H2L Media Group, Blood was financed by the Hercules Film Fund. Paris Kassidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas produced for Hercules, while Gary Levinsohn and Billy Hines produced for H2L Media Group. Hercules’ Jean-Luc De Fanti serves as executive producer alongside Anderson, Steven Sims, Ryan Bartecki, Alexis Varouxakis, Max Work and Daniel Bekerman.

Judging by the clips we’ve seen Blood, it looks like this movie is going to be pretty intense and disturbing. And as a fan of Anderson’s work, I can’t wait to check it out. Are you looking forward to Blood? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
