Trailer for ‘A Christmas Story Christmas’: Ralphie is back

Ever wondered what happened to Ralphie from A Christmas story when did he grow up? HBO Max begs that you have, and you do, and you’ll really want to know — because they made an entire movie about it, and it’s going to be streaming on their service this holiday season.

About 40 years after the original A Christmas story movie, the original actor who played Ralphie, Peter Billingsley, returns to his signature role in A Christmas Story Christmas. Now Ralphie is a father in his own right, and the Christmas planning falls entirely on him. Joining Billinglsey in the new film are several other originals Christmas story cast including Ian Petrella (Randy), Scott Schwartz (Flick), RD Robb (Schwartz) and Zack Ward (Scut Farkus). Darren McGavin, who played the old man in A Christmas storydied in 2006, but you’ll see him referenced in the trailer below:

The film’s poster certainly evokes the feel of the original as well.
