According to Weekly entertainment, The Walking Dead alum Michael Cudlitz has officially been tapped to join The CW’s upcoming Superman and Lois Season 3. Cudlitz will portray a new version of Lex Luthor, making him the latest actor to take on the iconic role of the DC villain after Super girl‘s Jon Cryer. The series is scheduled to return on Tuesday, March 14.
“Lex Luthor is known to the world as the visionary billionaire behind LexCorp, but secretly the criminal underworld knows who Lex really is: a brutal psychopath who terrorizes anyone he crosses paths with,” reads the character description. “When Lex debuts this season, it’s been years since he fell out of the public eye, and he’s about to re-emerge, bent on righting a personal injustice by avenging the two people he feels have wronged him—Superman and Lois Lane.”
Superman and Lois with Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent. Following the sudden exit of Jordan Elsass, Jonathan Kent will now be played by Australian actor Michael Bishop (Spin) starts in the third season.
The series also stars Dylan Walsh as General Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang-Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarette as Sarah Cushing and Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons.
Superman and Lois is created and written by The lightning executive producer Todd Helbing. It is produced by DC TV universe creator Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns through their Berlanti Productions banner.
