Breaking Bad: Aaron Paul & Bryan Cranston reprise roles in Super Bowl ad

The Super Bowl is just a few weeks away, and with it comes big commercials. One of these ads will see the iconic duo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul step back in their Breaking Bad roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for a PopCorners commercial.

The company teased their upcoming commercial on Twitter, sharing a short video of Paul as Pinkman in the suit he used to make meth in Breaking Bad, eating some PopCorners in the desert. As he does so, his phone rings, and as he answers, the camera pans out to reveal the iconic RV used by both Pinkman and Walter White in the series.

While Cranston’s Walter White was not featured in the commercial, his character will apparently appear in it at some point. Earlier this month, Cranston took to Instagram to share a photograph of Walter White, photoshopped with a bag of PopCorners in hand. In the caption, he also teased his inclusion in the ad, which is set to run on February 12, 2023, the same day as Super Bowl LVII.

The upcoming ad marks just the third time the two have played the characters together on screen since Breaking Bad‘s finale in 2013. The first time was in a flashback scene in Breaking Bad sequel movie El Caminowhile the other was in a cameo scene in the sixth season of the spin-off series Better call Saul.
