Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey became infamous in 2022 for its unusual use of the iconic AA Milne and EH Shepard characters after their copyright expired in 2021. The film centers on Christopher Robin going to college, causing Winnie the Pooh and Piglet to become “wild and unhinged “, leading the characters to go on a murderous rampage. Winnie the Pooh recently saw its copyright expire, with the rights to the characters no longer held by Disney and entering the public domain.
