Netflix program 16.-22. January: New TV and film

The 90s show finally hits Netflix as part of the 16-22 schedule. January.

The streaming service will be released on Thursday 19 January The 90s show. The 10-episode series sees Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprise their roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman. They are joined by Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence), Mace Coronel (Colin in black and white), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables), and Reyn Doi (Page congestion).

“Hello Wisconsin! It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, bonding with a new generation of Point Place kids under Kitty’s watchful eye and Red’s stern glare,” reads the official synopsis. “Sex, drugs and rock’n’roll never die, it just changes clothes.”

The 90s show comes from original series creators Bonnie and Terry Turner. The producers of the project are reportedly hoping that other famous characters from The 70s show will guest star in the new series. Ten episodes of the series have been ordered for the multi-cam spin-off. Gregg Mettler serves as showrunner, while Bonnie, Terry and Lindsey Turner, Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner will produce.
