Through Disney+, Marvel has revealed when The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special takes place in relation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.
In the Marvel section of Disney+, the various movies, series, and specials are listed in a variety of ways. One such way is “Timeline Order”, which shows the chronological order of the universe in which Marvel’s content takes place.
This list was recently updated to include those now released Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Specialwhich takes place after Werewolf at night and Thor: Love and Thundermaking it the latest story in the MCU.
Remember it Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is not included yet, so its placement may affect the list when it arrives on Disney+.
The special, now available to watch on Disney+, sees the Guardians travel to Earth during the Christmas season. Their goal is to find a present for Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), who has been upset after Gamora’s disappearance at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
The special’s executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Gunn, Sara Smith and Simon Hatt, with David J. Grant and Lars P. Winther serving as co-producers.
