Netflix has released the official trailer for Hot Skull, the upcoming Turkish sci-fi thriller drama set in a dystopian world where an epidemic spreads through verbal communication. The series will be available for streaming on December 2nd.
Hot Skull is based on Afşin Kum’s 2016 novel of the same name. The eight-episode series stars Osman Sonant, Şevket Çoruh, Hazal Subaşı, Tilbe Saran, Kubilay Tunçer, Özgür Emre Yıldırım, Gonca Vuslateri, Zerrin Sümer, Yetkin Dikinciler and Hakan Gerçek.

“Set in a world rocked by an epidemic of madness spreading through language and speech, reclusive former linguist Murat Siyavus, who has taken refuge in his mother’s home, is the only person mysteriously unaffected of this disease,” reads the synopsis. Hunted by the ruthless Anti-Epidemic Institution, Murat is forced to leave the safe zone and flee in the flames and ruins of the streets of Istanbul, where he searches for the secret of his ‘warm skull’ – a lasting sign of the disease. “
Hot Skull is created by Mert Baykal. Additional cast includes Erdem Akakçe, Barış Yıldız, Arda Anarat and Furkan Kalabalık, among others.
