One day after announcing the release date of Deadpool 3 and the fact that Hugh Jackman would be joining the film as Wolverine, fans were treated to a mysterious new video from Reynolds and Jackman.
In the video, Reynolds and Jackman jokingly describe how the film will play out before the music cuts in and completely drowns out their voices. Jomboy Media – best known for their breakdowns of sports clips that often require lip-reading – has taken up the cause and attempted to break down what is being said in the clip.
Unfortunately for fans hoping for some juicy news, however, nothing much seems to have been said, with Reynolds talking about how Deadpool finds Wolverine and chases him around before the two descend into pantomime and fight each other.
You can see the breakdown below:
Deadpool 3 was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick from an earlier draft of Bob’s Burgers the duo Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously assured fans that it will remain an R-rated film — just like the first two films, which would make it the studio’s first film with the said mature rating.
It will act as the first movie in Deadpool film series released after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
The first two Deadpool films are both box office successes as they collectively earned a combined worldwide gross of over $1.5 billion. They were both written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with the former directed by Tim Miller and Deadpool 2 directed by David Leitch.
