Following the 2020 Disney+ series WandaVision and her admission into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessfans are wondering what might be next for Elizabeth Olsen’s future in the MCU.
Talking to Variety recently, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that he would love to continue working with Olsen and that due to the fact that the multiverse is now a thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, anything can happen.
“There’s really so much more to explore,” Feige said, “We still haven’t touched on a lot of her core stories from the comics. I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could. Anything is possible in the multiverse! We have to see.”
As for Olsen, she also believes that Wanda Maximoff could return after her unknown fate at the end of Doctor Strange successor. She noted that she never believes that any of the characters are ever truly gone, and that she would like to see Wanda get a little closer to redemption after her villainous turn.
“I don’t think any of these characters are ever really gone…I really don’t know my future. Nothing is set.”
Olsen’s fate is left somewhat unknown at the end of it Doctor Strange sequel as the Scarlet Witch finally comes to her senses after acting as the film’s villain and appears to sacrifice herself to destroy the Darkhold. However, she is never seen or acknowledged as dead in the film, and Olsen herself said that she has not heard anything about her fate.
