After three years, Billy Eichner has brought back his popular show Billy on the street as part of promotions for Universal Pictures’ upcoming romantic comedy Bros, starring Eichner and Luke Macfarlane. In the first part of the video, the comic actor is joined by Paul Rudd as they try to convince random people on the street to watch Bros.
Bros is directed by Nicholas Stoller (Forgot Sarah Marshall) from a script written by Billy Eichner (Lions King) as the first openly gay man to co-write and star in his own major studio film. The film is described as a “smart, dizzying and heartfelt comedy about finding sex, love and romance amidst the madness.”
Joining Eicher is an all-LGBTQ+ cast, including Luke Macfarlane (Killjoys), Ts Madison (Ts Madison Experience), Monica Raymond (Chicago fire), Guillermo Díaz (Scandal), Guy Branum (The two others), Amanda Bearse (Married …with children), and more.
The film is produced by Judd Apatow (Train wreck), Stoller and Joshua Church (co-producer Train wreck, Step brothers), while Eichner serves as executive producer.
