Alaska Daily Trailer: Hilary Swank investigates a cold case in ABC Drama

The official trailer for ABC’s upcoming drama thriller Alaska daily has been released, starring Oscar winner Hilary Swank as an investigative journalist. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 6 on ABC and on Hulu.

The video shows Swank’s Eileen as she takes on a job in Alaska to help investigate a cold case involving the deaths of many Native women. As she searches for the truth, she will realize that Alaska has many more stories to tell than meets the eye.



Alaska daily is created and executive produced by Tom McCarthy, who also serves as writer and director. Joining Swank are Jeff Perry as Stanley Cornik, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Martin, Ami Park as Jieun Park and Craig Frank as Austin Greene.

“The series follows Eileen Fitzgerald, a recently disgraced reporter who leaves her high-profile New York life to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption,” reads the synopsis.

Alaska daily is executive produced by Swank, Melissa Wells, Bert Salke, Kyle Hopkins and Ryan Binkley. It is a production of 20th Television.
