Tekken 8 announced under State of Play

Sony kicked off State of Play with the reveal of a fighting game teased at Evo 2022. Tekken 8 has been officially announced with a new trailer. It only mentioned PlayStation 5 in the trailer, but Bandai Namco later confirmed that it would also be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC. No release window was given.

This shot showed Jin and Kazuya fighting in a rainy environment, demonstrating the higher visual fidelity. It had juggles and familiar combos, but there was no gameplay explanation or further details.

Executive Producer and director Katsuhiro Harada later said about PlayStation Blog that this was captured from the game’s story mode, meaning it wasn’t a pre-rendered movie. He called the small graphic details like how water droplets form on a character’s skin and the dynamic waves and tornadoes in the background. The battle between Jin and Kazuya will also be a central focus of the game, but players will have to wait to find out more.

Tekken 8or some The teak project, was teased during Evo during one Tekken 7 update trailer. However, it was unclear what exactly it was teasing since it was so short.
