Nintendo isn’t the only console manufacturer holding a special presentation tomorrow, as Sony will have its own stream just a few hours later. Sony announced a mode for September 13 at 15 PT that will have updates for games on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.
The included PlayStation Blog post provided a few more details, noting that it will be a 20-minute show celebrating games from Japanese developers, which is fitting since the Tokyo Game Show kicks off on September 15th. And while it will have updates from games from Japanese studios, there will also be some “surprises” from teams around the world. In all, it will have updates and “fresh gameplay footage” for 10 different games.
It’s unknown exactly what will be there, but the title and running time suggest it will be a more modest show. Many are probably expecting a huge E3-like presentation, but they are called PlayStation Showcasesnot state of play.
Status for June 2022 also had lots of japanese games like that Resident Evil 4 replay, Resident Evil Village on PS VR2, Street Fighter 6and Final Fantasy XVImeaning it’s possible that one or more of those games will reappear during this newly announced Sony stream.
