Superman & Lois Season 3 has found its new Jonathan Kent

According to VarietyThe CW has officially welcomed the addition of Australian actor Michael Bishop (Spin) that Superman and Lois. Bishop will now play the role of Jonathan Kent in the upcoming third season of the series, replacing Jordan Elsass, who had portrayed the role in the first two seasons. Less than a month ago, it was confirmed that Elsass had decided to leave the series due to personal reasons.

Superman and Lois with Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent. The series also stars Dylan Walsh as General Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang-Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarette as Sarah Cushing and Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons.

“The series finds the pair returning to Smallville to handle a Kent family business. Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang, a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her fire chief husband Kyle Cushing,” reads the official synopsis . “The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville, as the Kent sons recognize Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah. There’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially when Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane, looking for Superman to defeat a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville will be turned upside down when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.”

Superman and Lois is created and written by The lightning executive producer Todd Helbing. It is produced by DC TV universe creator Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns through their Berlanti Productions banner.
