The Fabelman family the poster gives us a preview of the cast, including Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Seth Rogen, while teasing some of the film’s key highlights that introduce the titular family.

The film will be directed by Oscar nominee Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine), Paul Dano (Batman), Seth Rogen (This is the end), and Julia Butters (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), who have taken on roles inspired by Spielberg’s mother, father, favorite uncle and sister, respectively. Meanwhile, Gabriel LaBelle is set to portray the lead role of Sammy Fabelman, inspired by ONE and Indiana Jones movie Maker.

The Fabelman family is loosely inspired by Spielberg’s childhood in Arizona, which the director has often cited as a major inspiration for his films. Growing up in an Orthodox Jewish family has been the subject that the director often revisits and pays tribute to throughout his work.
